Time seems slower these days. Winter has finally arrived and the days have been super cold. The snow makes that creaky sound when you walk on it.
Viggo is enjoying the winter and he brings his skis to pre-school almost every day. He is also very wrapped up in wrapping presents. After celebrating many birthdays in November and then having Christmas on top of that he just cannot stop thinking about presents. The last birthday was yesterday when John turned 12! Viggo made him a tray of cookies of paper for his birthday:

(I am going to make another excuse for not writing much lately. My camera broke and I find it almost impossible to blog without pictures. I finally dug up my dinosaur of a camera from 1998 or something. So when the sun is out, I am able to take pictures again)
Viggo is fabulous. He is a handful though. He wants all of our attention, all of the time. This is probably what we should be working on now. But we are simultaneously planning a move back to the US, and this is taking a lot of time and attention.
But every day I take Viggo to pre-school. He jumps right into the games that the other kids are playing. Nine times out of ten he chooses to join his friends rather than playing by himself. At the end of the day he is able to (in his way) recap the events of the day. He tells me if he skied or if a teacher was out sick. The other week the whole pre-school had a sort of sing a long meeting together. Viggo got to pick a song for everyone to sing. He was practically floating on a cloud when I picked him up in the afternoon.
Last weekend the two of us took a train ride into town. We haven't done that in a long time and it was such a pleasure. Viggo received a special children's train ticket. For the first time ever he showed the ticket to the conductor when prompted. He was beaming.
He also decided to greet everyone who entered the train.

Oh, and the last think I meant to mention is that he has gotten very good at helping me set the table! He counts the plates, forks, and knives. It only gets a little tricky when we have visitors. . .
