Every year Swedish Television creates a Christmas Show for children. The show gets aired on the main TV-channel starting December 1st and ending on Christmas Eve. Each day a new exciting episode brings you a little closer to Christmas. Along with the show there is a paper calendar with little doors numbered 1-24. After each episode the door with the correct number on it is opened revealing a key image of that days' episode. When we lived in Sweden my older boys always watched this Christmas Calendar show but this is the first year that Viggo is truly invested in the show . Luckily this years program is extremely good. The show tells two stories: The one about a girl living in Stockholm, Sweden, whose family is too wrapped up in important matters to pay any attention to the girl (her name is Stella). The second story is about a family from the Stone Age. In their wooden rocket ship they fly through a black hole in space as they attempt to light a star that was once there. The Stone Age family ends up in the future with Stella and a series of funny misunderstandings and adventures follow. The title of the show is: "The Hedenhös Children invent Christmas". We have yet to find out how exactly this is going to happen. Meanwhile these new stories are food for thought and creativity for Viggo.
